Turkish

Before 1928, Arabic was used in my country. Ataturk, who is the founder of the Republic of Turkey, introduced the new Turkish alphabet and abolished the use of Arabic script. Turkish alphabet is based on a modified  Latin alphabet. It is very similar to English letters. However, Turkish doesn`t have X,W and Q .Turkish has unique letters such as;Ç, Ğ, I, İ, Ö, Ş, and Ü. The good thing about Turkish we read as we write ,not like English :)
In school we learn how to read and write in first grade, at the age of 7. We first learn the letters and then the syllables, finnally the words.
