In my culture, when a couple got married, everybody expects
that after 9 and a half month they will have a baby. This is a kind of rule of
being married. Now, we are married for 2 years and still don`t have a baby.
Because of our parents` modern understanding, nobody force us to have a baby. I
always think that I want to have a child when I am or we are ready to have. In
my opinion, before the baby we need to have a house and we need to settle down
at least for a while. The most important thing is we need to have good salaries
to raise a child properly. However, I think I have started planning to have a
baby in 2-3 years because we are growing old every year and in the future it is
going to be really hard playing with our own child. This topic really confuses
me. On the other hand, who is going to take care my baby while I am at work?
The more I think about it the more I get nervous about it. That is why I told
my parents and in-laws not to talk about us having baby for 2 years. I just try
not to worry about it until I really want to plan having a baby. I think I will
be more certain about this plan in near future. Overall I love kids and I want
to have at least one eventually.
Don't worry too much! You have until you about 35 years old. I had my son when I was 33, and I never felt too old to play with him.
