Starbucks in Turkey or in Seattle

Buying coffee from Starbucks is not a fancy activity in Seattle. However, in Turkey it is a big deal. In Turkey`s Starbucks, a cup of coffee is 3 times expensive than the same cup of coffee in Seattle`s Starbucks. They use the same kind of ingredients, though. Also in Turkey, Lattes are not as good as the ones in Seattle. When you walk in a Starbucks in Seattle, everybody greats you and makes you feel like a friend. In Turkey, Starbucks is a so fancy place that everybody cannot go in easily.

My future`baby`

In my culture, when a couple got married, everybody expects that after 9 and a half month they will have a baby. This is a kind of rule of being married. Now, we are married for 2 years and still don`t have a baby. Because of our parents` modern understanding, nobody force us to have a baby. I always think that I want to have a child when I am or we are ready to have. In my opinion, before the baby we need to have a house and we need to settle down at least for a while. The most important thing is we need to have good salaries to raise a child properly. However, I think I have started planning to have a baby in 2-3 years because we are growing old every year and in the future it is going to be really hard playing with our own child. This topic really confuses me. On the other hand, who is going to take care my baby while I am at work? The more I think about it the more I get nervous about it. That is why I told my parents and in-laws not to talk about us having baby for 2 years. I just try not to worry about it until I really want to plan having a baby. I think I will be more certain about this plan in near future. Overall I love kids and I want to have at least one eventually.

Turkish

Before 1928, Arabic was used in my country. Ataturk, who is the founder of the Republic of Turkey, introduced the new Turkish alphabet and abolished the use of Arabic script. Turkish alphabet is based on a modified  Latin alphabet. It is very similar to English letters. However, Turkish doesn`t have X,W and Q .Turkish has unique letters such as;Ç, Ğ, I, İ, Ö, Ş, and Ü. The good thing about Turkish we read as we write ,not like English :)
In school we learn how to read and write in first grade, at the age of 7. We first learn the letters and then the syllables, finnally the words.
